Currency, Affiliate Link, Translations, & Styling Guide

This guide covers the fundamental setup of the RS WP Book Showcase plugin. Here you will learn how to configure basic functionalities, customize colors to match your brand, and translate or change static text labels.

To access these settings, navigate to: Dashboard > RS WP Book Showcase > Settings.

1. General Settings

Control the core functionality, currency, and integrations.

Setting Name	Description
Price Currency	Select the currency symbol for your book prices (e.g., $, €, £, ৳). The plugin supports a wide range of global currencies.
Amazon Tracking ID (Pro Feature)	Enter your Amazon Associate Tag here. This ID will be automatically appended to your Amazon buy links to help you earn affiliate commissions.
Enable Editor for Author Description (Pro Feature)	If enabled, you can use the rich text editor (WYSIWYG) for Author descriptions, allowing bold text, links, and formatting.
WooCommerce Integration (Pro Feature)	“Allow Customers to Buy All Books via WooCommerce” Enable this option to connect your books with WooCommerce products and add an “Add to Cart” button. Existing affiliate or external links will remain unchanged.
Roles Allowed to Manage Books (Pro Feature)	Select which user roles (e.g., Editor, Author) are allowed to add or edit books from the frontend or dashboard. Default is Administrator.

2. Color Settings

Customize the look and feel of your book pages without writing any CSS code.

Navigate to the “Colors” tab to adjust the following:

• Primary Color: Controls the main accent color used across the plugin.
• Button Colors:
  • Background Color: Set the background color for “Buy Now” or “Read More” buttons.
  • Text Color: Set the text color inside the buttons.
• Secondary / Gray Color: Used for borders, subtle texts, or secondary elements.
• Background Colors:
  • Pages Background: The background color of the main book showcase pages.
  • Container Background: The background of the inner wrapper/container.
  • Book Info Background: The background color specifically for the book details section.

Tip: You can use Hex codes (e.g., #ff0000) or use the color picker to select the exact shade.

3. Translations (Static Text)

Change labels and static text to your preferred language or phrasing.

Navigate to the “Translations” tab. This section allows you to rename default labels (e.g., changing “Buy Now” to “Order Book”).

Common Text Fields:

• Buttons: Change text for Buy Now, Add To Cart, Load More, View Book.
• Labels: Change text for Price, ISBN, Publisher, Publish Date.
• Sort Options: Rename sorting labels like Price (Low to High) or Date (Newest to Oldest).
• Headers: Customize section headers like Books By, Similar Books, or Reviews.

Note: Some advanced text fields (like ISBN-13, File Size, Dimensions, and Review form labels) are available in the Pro Version only.
